LAWRENCE, Kan. - The University of Missouri track and field squads continued the indoor season on Saturday in competing among Kansas, UMKC, Tulsa, and Wichita State, in the Kansas Invitational in Lawrence, Kan. Along with claiming six individual titles on the day, sophomore decathlete Nick Adcock (Kansas City, Mo.) had a moment of déjà vu in cinching another school record in the men's 60-meter hurdles.

Adcock, ran the field's fastest time in the prelim round with an 8.23 time and came back in the final to clock 8.16 in bettering his PR and school record set a weekend ago by one-hundredth of a second. UMKC's Anthony Boyer would claim victory in the event, running a hair faster than Adcock with an 8.15 time.

Mizzou once again had a dominate day in the throwing events, sweeping the top four spots in the men's weight throw and four of the top six in the shot put.

Junior Chris Rohr (Lee's Summit, Mo.) and senior Tyler Dailey (Joplin, Mo.) were the top dogs of the weight throw and shot put respectively, and took second in the events they didn't win. Rohr and Dailey extended their NCAA-qualifying marks in throwing the 35-lb. weight 67-10¾ (20.69m) and 65-5½ (19.95m), in that order. Dailey won the shot with a 54-3¼ (16.54m) mark while Rohr threw 53-5 (16.28m) in taking second.

Senior Shernelle Nicholls (St. Andrew's Parrish, Barbados) took the top spot in the women's shot put, throwing a season's best 51-9 (15.77m) in improving her NCAA-provisional qualifying mark. Junior Krishna Lee (Kansas City, Mo.) was second at 48-11½ (14.92m). Earlier in the day, Lee also took the top spot as part of 1-2-4 Mizzou finish with the 20-lb. weight. Lee tossed the winner of 61-8¼ (18.80m), topping Kansas' Zlata Tarasova by a mere half inch.

Senior Jason Miller was the champ of the men's high jump in being the lone man over the bar at 6-6¼ (1.99m). Senior Kasey Kimball won the women's 1000-meter run over Tulsa' Alex Becker by 33 hundredths of a second, with a 2:56.33 clocking.

Sophomore Jerron Forte (Kansas City, Mo.) ran an indoor personal best with a 22.71 time in placing second in the men's 200-meter dash. Forte also was the runner-up in the 600-yard run - freshman Ryan Blackwell was third in the same event.

The Tiger women took the 2-3-4 spots in the 60-meter hurdles as junior JaNay Woolridge (Jessup, Md.) took runner-up honors, nipped at the line by Wichita State's Jennifer Snyder in racing to an 8.85 time. Kaela Rorvig (Columbia, Mo.) was third while Lauren Begany (St. Louis, Mo.) was fourth. Woolridge and Rorvig went on to take the 2-3 spots, respectively in the women's long jump.

Freshman Layne Moore (Emporia, Kan.) clocked 1:26.01 in the 600-yard run to place third. Sophomore Blossom Nwaneri was fourth at 1:26.63. Tommie Powers tied for third in the women's pole vault.

The Tigers will compete next weekend in the Big 12-Mountain West Challenge in Lincoln, Neb., competing on the same team as league schools Nebraska and Kansas State.
