The University of Missouri Athletic Health Care team consists of team physicians, under the direction of nationally recognized orthopaedist Dr. Patrick Smith, a highly experienced staff of 13 certified athletic trainers, a group of dedicated and hard-working student athletic trainers, and several allied health care professionals. The mission of our athletic health services is very simple - to provide the best possible health care for all University of Missouri student-athletes. Our Dr. Glenn L. McElroy Sports Medicine Center is, without question, one of the finest state-of-the-art collegiate sports medicine facilities in the country. In addition to the "MAC", we have a beautiful athletic training facility in Mizzou Arena, well-equipped facilities at the Hearnes Center and Walton Track/Soccer Stadium, and a fine game-day facility (including x-ray) at Memorial Stadium.
The University of Missouri athletic health care staff is highly respected, and was recognized recently as the Big 12 Conference "Staff of the Year". The majority of our staff has individually been involved in many local, state, and national athletic training activities, and represents athletic trainers in many leadership positions.
Remember, MIZZOU is on the move, and it's a great time to get on board. If you have any questions about MIZZOU Athletic Health Care, or if I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Rex L. Sharp
